General Information

About the Central Ohio Woodturners

The Central Ohio Woodturners (AKA, "COW") is organized with the fundamental purpose of providing Information, Education, and Organization to those interested in turning wood.  Additionally, the COW's purposes are:

  1. Providing a meeting location for woodturners.
  2. Sharing ideas regarding woodturning including lathes, tools, turning materials, turning techniques, and design of turned objects.
  3. Exchanging wood and other woodturning materials.
  4. Informing members about activities of interest to woodturning.
  5. Promoting woodturning as an art form and craft.
  6. Assisting other charities with fundraising efforts by contributing woodturnings for auction or sale.

Chapter of the American Association of Woodturners

The Central Ohio Woodturners is a chapter of the American Association of Woodturners. We have a membership of about 200 enthusiastic woodturners, and we have monthly meetings where we exchange ideas, share projects, and learn from local, national, and international demonstrators.

Legal Information

The Central Ohio Woodturners is incorporated in the State of Ohio as a not-for-profit corporation. We are also recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) educational organization.
